Headington Fairtrade Co-operative Limited

Terms and Conditions of Sale

Please read our Terms and Conditions of Sale carefully. By placing an order through this website (https://www.headingtonfairtrade.org.uk), you confirm that you understand and agree to all the Terms and Conditions. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights.

Products

When ordering products through the website, please note:

We have tried to ensure that all the information about each product is correct, but if there are material errors in the information for a product, we reserve the right not to accept an order for that product.

Dimensions and weights are approximate, and packaging may be different from that shown on the website.

Colours on our website and on your screen may not reflect exactly the actual colour of a product.

Many craft items are individually hand-made and may show variations from the image on the website. If after collecting such a product you would like to exchange it or ask for a refund from us, please contact us within 14 days of the collection.

All products are subject to availability, and we will let you know as soon as possible if a product is not available.

Prices are given in pounds sterling (£), and VAT is included in the displayed price.

Orders

After you have completed the online ordering process, we will let you know as soon as possible that your order has been received, normally this will be by means of an email reply. Our acknowledgement of your order is the point at which a contract for sale is established between you and us. If you do not receive confirmation within 2 days, please contact us.

The products you order through the website remain the property of Headington Fairtrade Co-operative until we receive full payment for them.

You have rights to cancel an order for certain products (not including food) under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. Should you want to do so please let us know as soon as possible, and we will refund your money. You cannot cancel after you have received your order. However, if an item is unsatisfactory, and is still in the condition in which you received it (i.e. has not been opened or otherwise damaged), we will arrange a refund on return of goods and proof of purchase. Refunds may take up to 10 working days to show up on your account.

Payment

Payment details that you enter during the online ordering process will be collected and stored by us using a secure encrypted payment system, and the information will be used only in accordance with the General Data Protection regulations.

Card payments are accepted subject to authorisation by your card issuer. If your card payment is not authorised, we will let you know, and you must pay for the products before they are collected.

If we cannot supply a product you have ordered and paid for, we will let you know as soon as possible, and we will make a refund as soon as we reasonably can.

Stock Availability

Please be aware that availability of stock is not guaranteed. We will take an item off the online shop as soon as we are aware it is unavailable but occasionally some items sell faster than expected and sometimes our suppliers struggle with getting stock to us as quickly as we would like. We will get in touch with you if there is an item in your order that is out of stock, and we will issue a refund for that item. We accept no liability arising from any inability to supply goods due to lack of stock other than returning any payments made to you.

Collection

We will contact you when your order is ready for you to collect from the shop and arrange a time for collection. Collection times will generally be during normal shop opening hours, but at the pre-arranged time there will be someone at the shop to hand over your goods, whether or not the shop is open to the general public at the time.

If a product you collect is missing, damaged or incorrectly supplied, let us know within 7 working days, and we will rectify the mistake or make a refund as soon as we reasonably can. You have legal rights in the UK in relation to faulty goods or products that have been wrongly described.

Our total liability in the event of any damage or loss is limited to the amount paid for the product(s) in question, subject to liabilities whose exclusion is forbidden under English law.

If you do not collect the goods within 7 days of the pre-arranged collection time, we will treat the order as cancelled unless you have made alternative arrangements for collection.
