get involved

The success of the venture depends on a dedicated band of volunteers, many of whom serve in the shop on a rota basis so that there are never less than two people on duty during opening hours. A co-ordinator oversees the day-to-day running, and in due course this could become a paid position, part-time building up to full-time (or to a job-share for two people). Other volunteers are involved in ‘back-room’ activities such as ordering stock, pricing and displaying goods, and book-keeping.

Volunteers receive appropriate training, both initially and on an on-going basis.

If you would like consider becoming one of the volunteer team, please contact Joyce Clapp.
