HEADINGTON FAIRTRADE
Open Monday to Saturday, 9:30am to 5:30pm
Everyone working for Headington Fairtrade Co-operative at present is a volunteer, and our success depends on the dedication of people who give their time, expertise and energies without pay.
Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 25th February - watch out for details of events in Headington and across Oxford.
Come to the Headington Farmers' Market on Friday 24th February - fairtrade doughnuts for sale plus free samples of fairtrade coffee, to mark The Windmill's second anniversary
Get Involved
Many of our volunteers serve in the shop, on a rota basis, and there are never less than two people on duty during opening hours. A co-ordinator oversees the day-to-day running, and in due course this could become a paid position, part-time building up to full-time (or to a job-share for two people). Other volunteers are involved in ‘back-room’ activities such as unpacking stock, pricing and displaying goods, maintaining records, book-keeping and DIY jobs.
Volunteers receive appropriate training, both initially and on an on-going basis.
If you would like consider becoming one of the volunteer team, please contact John Coyle.
